Reflection on how 55% of Reddit voters deny the bias against content containing dashes

Sharing some reflections and stats for the post about dashes in the r/ChatGPT community.

I noticed the post settled at a 44.5% upvote ratio today. It is a bit of a letdown, honestly.

Based on the posts I see and analyze through Reddit, the trend is undeniable, regardless of what the comments in the thread say: people are simply more likely to assume a post is AI the moment they see a dash. It is just unfortunate that the community seems unwilling to acknowledge a pattern that is clearly there.

My intention was simply to highlight how valid, standard grammatical choices are increasingly being mislabeled as "AI slop," but it seems the nuance was lost. I suppose I expected the community to be slightly more open to discussion.

It is obvious that people were divided into two camps. The top-liked comment about how the user suffers from this shows that the problem is real; even so, people continue denying that this issue is trending.
